In the basement of the Uneeda Medical Supply warehouse, the Tarman is stored among a handful of military-issue canisters, the result of a failed experiment which inadvertently created the premise for Night of the Living Dead. When the canister is cracked, purging its gaseous contents, the Tarman escapes off-camera, remaining in the basement, and is forgotten until later. He is revealed when he attempts to attack Tina, forcing her to barricade herself inside a supply closet. Lacking the speed and coordination of many of his fellow zombies, the Tarman launches a sneak attack from behind a curtain, crunching his teeth into Suicide’s skull and gobbling Suicide’s brains. Spider pummels the Tarman with a paint can, which only succeeds in momentarily distracting the Tarman and alerting him to the presence of additional prey. For lack of any other strategy, the Tarman is locked in the basement, although later, when Burt returns and finally elects to call the emergency number stenciled along the side of the Trioxin canisters, the Tarman is released from the basement. Shambling forward, the gooey brain-hungry Tarman is beheaded with a baseball bat, while his body continues to stumble and stagger.
