MK9 4” Exclusive Figure Assortment: Case of 12 includes the following figures:
3x Sub-Zero
3x Scorpion
2x Reptile
2x Raiden
2x Baraka
Sub-Zero: Sub-Zero is the assassin mantle adopted by the Lin Kuei-trained siblings Bi-Han and Kuai. During the first Mortal Kombat tournament Bi-Han was killed by the vengeful Scorpion, and was replaced by Kuai, the latter of whom eventually distanced himself from the notoriety of his mantle by rebelling against Shao Khan. In Mortal Kombat 9, Sub-Zero becomes a playable character in the game’s eighth chapter. A skilled Cryomancer, Sub-Zero is capable of performing trademark mystical feats such as the Ice Freeze, the Slide, and the Ground-Ice maneuver; Sub-Zero’s Fatalities include the Spine Rip, the Skeleton Rip, and the Deep Freeze.
Scorpion: Originating as the renowned Hanzo Hasashi of the Shirai Ryu Clan, Scorpion entered the service of the necromancer Quan Chi and was subsequently butchered by Sub-Zero. Scorpion was later resurrected by Quan Chi and was entered in Shang Tsung’s Mortal Kombat tournament, enabling Scorpion to avenge himself and his clan against Sub-Zero. Scorpion’s demonic power enables him to perform gory feats such as the Bloody Spear and the Hellfire Punch; his Fatalities include the ‘Toasty’ move and the Spear Slice.
Reptile: Reptile is a Saurian life form ultimately loyal to Shao Khan. Reptile was originally a secret character who emerged from hiding to attack player characters. He was later characterized as a bodyguard of Shang Tsung, and a subordinate who carried out Shao Khan’s secret missions in the hopes that Khan would eventually release the enslaved Saurian race. A skilled warrior, Reptile is capable of feats such as Acid Spit, the Power Slide and the Chameleon maneuver; his Fatalities include moves such as the Tasty Meal, the Extra Meal, and the Invisible Chomp.
Raiden: Raiden is clad in robed attire with his trademark straw hat. The God of Thunder, Raiden is a former protector of the Earthrealm. He takes the form of a man during his interaction with humans and his participation in the Mortal Kombat tournaments. Raiden defeated and banished the Elder God Shinnok, and later became a chief adversary of Shang Tsung and Shao Khan. In Mortal Kombat 9, Raiden is visited by a future version of himself who brings a warning of an apocalyptic future dominated by Shao Khan. Raiden’s mastery of thunder and lightning enables him to perform feats such as Teleportation, the Air Torpedo, and the Electric Slide; his Fatalities include Electric Decapitation, Invisible Electrocution, and the Explosive Uppercut.
Baraka: A slavering mutant with massive needle-like teeth and forearm-situated blades, Baraka was introduced as a loyal minion of Shao Khan; he would later be designated as a member of the nomadic Tarkata species, a mixture of Outland denizen and Nether realm demon. In the 2011 Mortal Kombat, Baraka survives the Ritual of Blood and ascends to the rank of Enforcer, a favored servant of Shao Khan. Baraka’s signature moves include Chop-Chop Blades, Blade Swipe and the Blade Spin, and his Fatalities include Blade Decapitation, Blade Lift and Mutant Dissection.
