Darth Maul was the apprentice of Darth Sidious. He was subjected to grueling training and held accountable to harsh discipline intended to scour away all traces of weakness or conscience. Maul was transformed into a nearly mindless killer driven by the singular objective of tracking and reacquiring Queen Amidala, in the course of which he was pitted against Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. Maul’s lightsaber technique was honed into a two-pronged attack capability, which he utilized in instances where multiple opponents were involved.
