This is a Clone Trooper gone bad, left out in the sun too long, left on the counter overnight, exposed to fifth-degree botulism, rank and foul-smelling. This guy is now an indiscriminate stooge serving Vader personally and the Emperor on a larger level.
Vader used these guys when he went on his rampage, when he sacked the Jedi temple and butchered everything in sight. This was Vader giving his two weeks’ notice, moving on to bigger and better things, signing on with a new boss well-known for his loyalty, generosity and benevolence.
Vader’s Clone Troopers, now irreversibly tainted by “Order 66” were more than happy to comply. They were everywhere, sweeping the hallways and the landings, like worms honeycombing the cavity of a dying apple. Warped, twisted and misappropriated, these guys were the larval stage of the Stormtroopers yet to come.
