AVN MVL PLATINUM GRIM REAPER: The black-clad Grim Reaper is equipped with his trademark scythe prosthetic. Upon learning of the death of his brother Wonder Man, the Grim Reaper gains his techno-scythe appendage from the Tinkerer and becomes an adversary of the Avengers, initially gaining the upper hand against a portion of the team before being unexpectedly defeated by the Black Panther. The Grim Reaper’s scythe can be utilized as a melee weapon or a spinning saw blade, and is capable of generating electric shocks and electromagnetic blasts.
AVN MVL PLATINUM HYPERION: Hyperion is clad in a garish red and yellow costume with a billowing Roman-style cape. Hyperion is a member of the alternate dimensional Justice League-like Squadron Supreme. He possesses vast superhuman strength, durability, and endurance, flight capability, and utilizes atomic vision which is analogous to Superman’s heat vision.
AVN MVL RED SHE HULK: Similar to the mainstream She-Hulk in terms of height and muscularity, the Red She-Hulk is the alter ego of Betty Ross, following in the footsteps of her father, General “Thunderbolt” Ross, revealed to be the secret identity of the Red Hulk. She is initially far stronger and more resilient than the regular She-Hulk, and although her strength is later diminished, she retains the Red Hulk’s ability to leech gamma radiation from other Hulks, causing a reverse transformation in the latter and temporarily bolstering her own strength with the extant radiation.
AVN MVL PLATINUM WASP: Wearing her black and yellow costume, the 3.75” Wasp is accompanied by a fixed-pose miniaturized version of herself. Drawing upon Pym-particles, Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp, is able to manipulate her size and mass. The Wasp’s miniature form possesses translucent insect wings, and can fly at speeds up to 40 mph. She is capable of channeling her bioelectric energy into a concussive blast. Initially portrayed as a selfish heiress, frequently using the male members of the team to incite jealousy in her boyfriend, Pym, the Wasp is a founding member of the Avengers.
AVN MVL WHIRLWIND: Whirlwind’s mutant ability to rotate his body enables him to funnel through the air, hovering for brief periods, and create jet stream blasts and shield-like barriers; clad in specially-designed armor, Whirlwind possesses enhanced agility, reflexes, coordination and balance. He joins the second incarnation of the Masters of Evil, battling against the Avengers, and later the Masters’ third incarnation, battling the Avengers again. He becomes a member of Count Nefaria’s Lethal Legion, gaining a temporarily amplification of his whirling powers.
AVN MVL DEATHS HEAD: Death’s Head II is the result of the beheading of the original Death’s Head and the transfer of the latter’s personality into the cyborg Minion; the Death’s Head personality ultimately gains dominance over Minion’s programming, attaining an level of autonomy which is positively influence by other personalities incorporated in Minion’s gestalt matrix. Mostly discarding his opportunistic bounty hunter’s mentality, Death’s Head II teams up with the artificial human Tuck, traveling to the latter’s homeworld Lionheart, a planet were cybernetics and robotics are outlawed and warred upon by Lionheart’s medieval human populace.
AVN MVL 80S THOR: Initially, in order to instill Thor’s one lacking virtue, humility, Odin sends Thor to Earth, merging the God of Thunder with the infirmed mortal Donald Blake. In order to transform into Thor, Blake strikes his walking cane against a solid foundation, the cane itself assuming the form of the legendary Mjolnir, the mystic weapon which heightened Thor’s vast strength and durability. Thor continues to serve as a champion of Asgard while alternately defending the Earth against all varieties of supervillains.
AVN MVL HEROIC AGE IRON MAN: The Iron Man armor is constructed as a housing for the transistorized chest plate used to save the mortally wounded Tony Stark. Modified numerous times even prior to Iron Man’s association with the Avengers, the original Iron Man Armor utilizes transistor and magnetic repulsor technology which provides Stark with flight capability, heightened strength and durability, and a variety of onboard weapons. The immensely durable Neo-Classic armor resists virtually any form of damage, however the chassis itself is cumbersome.
AVN MVL CAPTAIN AMERICA: Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. Replacing his original badge-shaped shield, Captain America’s nearly indestructible circular shield is a freak occurrence derived from multiple attempts by metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain to fuse Wakanda-indigenous Vibranium with an experimental alloy. During the Chitauri invasion Captain America serves as the Avengers’ field leader, coordinating with the team and drawing Chitauri ground-based attacks away from terrified civilians.
AVN MVL STEVE ROGERS: Originally deemed unfit for service, Steve Rogers volunteers for the experimental Super Soldier Serum and is reconstituted into Captain America, a master tactician and one of the most skilled physical combatants in the Marvel universe. AVN MVL YELLOW JACKET: Discovering and harnessing self-named Pym-particles, Hank Pym manipulates size and mass, which allows him to establish a succession superhero alter egos. Originally, as Ant-Man, Pym doses himself more liberally than intended with his shrinking formula, and is nearly mauled by a squadron of ants, prompting him to create a special cybernetic helmet which enables him to communicate with the ants. Later, following his tenure as Goliath, he succumbs to schizophrenia and reintroduces himself as Yellowjacket. The Yellowjacket persona is based in Pym’s shrinking ability along with his gauntlet-mounted bio-energy gun; he retains flight ability in both human and insect sizes.
AVN MVL BETA RAY BILL: A guardian of the Korbonite species, Beta Ray Bill is initially discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. aboard the Skuttlebutt, the advance ship of a Korbonite fleet. Mistaking Beta Ray for an aggressive enemy, Thor battles Beta Ray and is ultimately separated from Mjolnir for a period exceeding sixty seconds. Thor reverts to the unconscious Donald Blake, enabling Beta Ray to retrieve Blake’s cane and transform (himself) into an imposing Korbonite-Thor equivalent. Beta Ray later battles Thor in the Asgardian realm of Skartheim for ownership of Mjolnir. Beta Ray narrowly gains the upper hand and saves Thor’s life, effectively prompting Odin to create a duplicate hammer with its own distinctive design, Stormbreaker.
