The Frankish Culverin was introduced to China in Ming Dynasty by the Portuguese. It’s an early model of cannon with back-loading sabots. Compared to other models, the loading method of Frankish Culverin saved time on reloading and barrel-cleaning. The rapid-fire Culverin is also called oerlikon cannon and is based on 15th century’s Falconetto, which is named after falcon.
This set includes a battle damaged stone wall for the cannon to be attached to that’s stands 13 inches (33cm) at it tallest point. Also included is a box of 24 projectiles and a loading chamber.
