Product Description

We are delighted to announce the first in our long awaited series of statues from the hugely popular video game Marvel vs. Capcom 3! Presented in awesome 1:4 scale the first protagonists to face off are Dr. Doom and Akuma.

Dr. Doom - the all-powerful ruler of Latveria, stands an imposing 21½" tall in his armor. He is captured here in classic pose with his cape billowing in the wind, looking with disdain at his opponent.

Akuma - the “Great Demon”, is a cold and extremely powerful warrior whose sole purpose of existence is to hone his fighting skills by battling and destroying strong opponents. He stands 19" tall in his fighting stance - ready to attack!

Both have similar MvC3 themed bases that will also allow you to choose your own match ups when displaying them together with future releases in our 1:4 scale MvC3 series.

These Museum quality pieces are constructed from heavyweight polystone and then hand painted to the finest detail.

Edition Size: 750 pieces worldwide

Akuma is the dark master of Shun Goku Satsu, a technique that physically threatens both the practitioner and the target. He kills his master and seemingly kills his brother, Gouken, the teacher of both Ken and Ryu. Ken immediately confronts Akuma to avenge Gouken, but Ken is no match for Akuma’s power. Ryu arrives later, pursing Akuma both because of personal grief and because he (Ryu) begins to have Akuma’s dark nature locked within himself. Akuma has pushed himself beyond all human limitations in his quest for ultimate power, and he often wanders idly, fighting only worthy opponents in his perpetual search for a genuine rival warrior.

Victor von Doom creates a device intended to communicate with the dead, however he ignores the warning of fellow Empire State University student Reed Richards, who points out a flaw in the device, and is disfigured when the machine self-destructs. Becoming Doctor Doom, he blames Richards for the accident, and, by association, the Fantastic Four. Doctor Doom’s extensive scientific genius enables him to construct myriad devices designed to aggrandize his own power and exploit the vulnerabilities of his enemies. His computer-powered armor heightens his strength and durability, defends him against energy-based attacks, and is provides him with life support measures enabling long-term survival in underwater or outer space environments.
